Conical Riser 1500

Meet the conical RISER 1500 conical adapter support building for our RD-400 clamshell dome section.

It can be equipped with a mid-level floor with hatch and stair. Ideal for the installation of those components of your equipment, that you do not want in your dome, because they produce heat and therefore that upgly dome seeing.

We offer several storage solutions for the Conical Riser 1500, like a workbench, shelves, storage cabinets. Ask us: we have the solution!

The access door fits smoothly in the recessed seat of the entry portal and is water- and snow- tight. The door has a security lock.

CONICAL RISER 1500 configuration

When combined with the main RD-400 clamshell dome section, this becomes an impressive observary for the serious hobby astronomer, as well as for a NEO / LEO tracking station, a ground station for laser communication, or defense applications.

The RISER 200 and RISER 500 adapter rings can be combined with the CONICAL RISER to get the optimal height for your telescope, or optical group in the clamshell dome.

In this configuration the main RD-400 dome sections has blind panels in both door portals. On demand we can supply and install doors for the upper section.

All door options, in the main dome section and in all risers have recessed door seats for a hermetical closure of the access doors. This makes this dome the perfect choice for wintery environments. Let our engineers advise you to find the best solution for your application.
