Our new GreenLine RC-33 Clamshell observatory is a superb choice for the more demanding hobby-astronomer.

ADVANTAGES

It was designed to offer all advantages of our affordable GreenLine roll-off observatories, combined  with an unparalled field of view, normally only found in expensive clamshell domes. But at a much lower price.

SPACIOUS

With its square and spacious 3Mx3M footprint, there is ample room for work benches and equipment shelfes.

VERSIONS

The RC-33 clamshell observatory has a full steel frame for the walls ans shutters covered with 4mm aluminium sandwich plating. The shutters are running on 78MM caster rollers on heavy 15MM steel guide rails. This offers full weather and storm protection under all conditions. A special labirynthal rain run off system in the shutters warrants complete water tightness for your telescope and equipment.

INTERIOR

DOME PARTS optical is driven by a life-long feaver for hobby astronomy. We know what you need standing next to your telescope in the midst of the night. We have a couple of very good ideas for workbenches and storage solutions. Ask us!

SHUTTER CONTROL

Depending on your requirements, the shutters can be controlled with our optionally available SEMI-automatic control system with simple "push-button" operation, or alternatively, with a fully automatic, ASCOM compliant control system. You can open and position the shutters in any desired position, if you need protection on windy nights.

WEB INTERFACE

The optionally available fully automatic shutter control system can also be controlled by your mobile phone, or for that matter any internet browser. Our control system is a cross platform solution that works fine under Windows, Android, iOS, or MacOS. You can also swich the lights and several wall power outlets.

WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION

The GreenLine Clamshell roll-off observatory is targeted at the world market. With distibution partners in Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, and Australia.

OPERATING EVERYWHERE

All our power systems are rated 110VAC-240VAC 50-60 Hz flawlessly work anywhere on Earth. We also offer special 12VDC and 24VDC versions.

TCS SYSTEM

In case you choose for our optional TCS system, you can combine ASCOM control of your telescope, with our dome control system. Our TCS-system is an embedded computer that has an integrated switched mode 12VDC 150W industrial power supply, a 1GB/S network switch, a USB-3 hub and a protect power bus with trip switch.

You can of course also use a computer, or a notebook of your  own, to control the observatory and your telescope. The sky is the limit...!

DOME PARTS optical employs a state of the art CAD/CAM system, to simulate whether a particular telescope fits in its GreenLine roll-off or clamhsell dome observatories.

Over the past couple of years the GreenLine division of
